Amidst raging fires, smoky skies, toxic air and world insanity of many flavors, Thursday’s Super New Moon in Virgo (September 17, 7:00am eastern) calls you back to your body, your here-and-now reality, and the power of your sacred attention.
Ruled by Mercury the Magician, the Virgo New Moon is a time to harness the power of your thoughts and words to change your reality. This is the best New Moon of the year for new beginnings in health, healing, work and service.
This will be the first of three consecutive Super New Moons – when the New Moon coincides with the Moon’s perigee, its closest proximity to Earth. There’s a stronger magnetic pull on the Earth, and on our bodies, intensifying the effects of this lunation.
The New Moon is also super-charged by its precise trine – 120-degree angle of harmony and support – with Saturn in Capricorn. Small steps and minor adjustments add up to major long-term consequences. This New Moon brings a lot of TRACTION to whatever you focus on and invest in, so this is a time to be extra-intentional when it comes to how you’re directing your attention.
For more insight into what this New Moon means for YOU, find the house in your birth chart that contains 25 degrees of Virgo. The areas of life signified by that house are where you’re invited to:
- reclaim your sovereignty;
- make a new beginning in health, healing and wholeness;
- perfect your skills;
- simplify, organize and increase your efficiency and productivity;
- and release judgment and accept the perfection of what is.

Tonight’s New Moon in Leo (August 18th, 10:42pm eastern), challenges you to have the courage to be yourself, shine your light and follow the truth of your heart.
In the bigger context of this time – the fast track to the Age of Aquarius – cultivating and expressing the Leo part of ourselves is crucial for calling in the highest potential future.
Leo is the sign opposite Aquarius, and without Leo – the heart, LOVE, our divine light, our individuality and creativity – we get the dystopian version of the Age of Aquarius.
Dystopian Aquarius looks like: the merging of humans and AI, a world dominated by machines, the suppression (masking) of individuality, herd mentality, social engineering and social control… (Sound familiar?)
The sole determinant of which version of the Age of Aquarius we move into – totalitarian surveillance state or the mass awakening and liberation of humanity – is consciousness. How do we evolve into higher consciousness? Through the heart, the most powerful organ of the body and the true center of human perception.
The heart connects us with the universal field of intelligence, the knowing that we are all one. Unless our brains and nervous system (Aquarius) are connected with the heart (Leo), we can’t perceive our interconnectedness.
FEAR, the primary tool of the control system, shuts down the heart, and we fall under the spell of the separate self. Gratitude, appreciation and love bring us back into our hearts, where we remember the truth that we are all one, and then send that frequency of oneness into the collective field.
At this Leo New Moon, our assignment is to drop into our heart’s wisdom and take action based on that truth. To counter the forces of oppression, we’re called to shine our light, commit to our passion and joy, and know ourselves as divine beings with the power to create “the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible” (Charles Eisenstein).
For more insight into what this New Moon means for YOU, find the house in your birth chart that contains 26 degrees of Leo. The areas of life signified by that house are where you’re invited to:
- clarify your heart’s true desires;
- commit to your passion and creativity;
- strengthen self-love and self-approval;
- plant a seed for amplifying your creative light.

“So long as you follow the herd, you will only be led to the slaughterhouse.… If you feel that you don’t belong in this world, it’s because you are here to create a new one.” – Ralph Smart
The Aquarius Full Moon, peaking Monday, August 3rd (11:58am eastern), inspires revelation, awakening and liberation. The Full Moon squares revolutionary Uranus, supporting you to break free from the matrix of fear and limitation, and quantum leap into a higher level of reality.
Uranus is the Trickster, the wild card, the planet of reversals and “expect the unexpected.” Uranian energy can feel chaotic, and you can best navigate this wild ride of a Full Moon by surrendering to the flow of life, moment by moment, trusting that divine order IS unfolding, even if you can’t see it right now.
This Full Moon can stir up the fear of being rejected by society, by friends and community, if you reveal the truth of who you are and what you believe. Aquarius is the alien and outsider, and when operating in fear, can conform to herd mentality in order to fit in and be accepted – or, can go in the opposite direction and completely detach, resulting in feelings of isolation.
The higher potential of this Leo-Aquarius activation is to be strongly centered in the truth of your heart and know yourself as an expression of divine light (Leo), which gives you the confidence to share your unique genius with the world, to take the risk of seeming weird or unconventional (Aquarius).
At the Full Moon, Mercury, planet of the mind, precisely opposes Saturn. The low-vibe expression of this aspect can show up as negative, fearful thinking and a limited perception of what’s possible – all of which is widely available in the culture right now, but can really put a damper on the quantum leap potential of this Full Moon!
The higher expression of Mercury-Saturn is to divest your thoughts from the fear-based, humanity-oppressing, earth-destroying systems that are currently collapsing and instead utilize the power of your attention to invest in the new world you want to create.
For more insight into what this Full Moon means for YOU, find the house in your birth chart that contains 11 degrees Aquarius. The areas of life represented by this house are where you’re invited to:
- get a big-picture perspective and clarify your future vision;
- liberate your creative genius, speak your truth, and share your unique gifts;
- take steps toward experiencing greater freedom;
- feel and move through any fears about not being accepted or loved for who you are.

The Cancer Solar Eclipse (June 21, 2:41am eastern) is an extra-powerful New Moon, signifying a major new beginning – one that may require an equally dramatic ending. A Solar Eclipse plants seeds that will grow over the next six months and even 19 years.
The power of this Eclipse is amplified by its occurrence just hours after Solstice, and by its activation of the very first degree of Cancer. We have the opportunity for a clean slate, a radical reset, in all Cancer-ruled arenas – home, family, roots, ancestors, intimate relationships, our inner and outer foundation of support.
The waters of Cancer call us deep into our hearts, feelings and instincts to recreate the world from the inside out.
At Eclipses and Solstices, the veil is thin and we can receive major cosmic downloads and energetic upgrades, thereby resetting the light of consciousness and changing our life’s trajectory. Take time for meditation, reflection, communion with nature – whatever helps you feel peaceful, grounded and receptive.
The collective field – the energetic blueprint that determines the course of humanity – is also very impressionable right now, and this is a powerful time to seed that field with intentions of love, compassion, connection, safety and trust.
While we’ve been conditioned to believe that we have very little power as individuals, there is A LOT we can do on the personal level, and in fact that’s where we have the most power right now.
As Barbara Hand Clow writes, “Each person who takes microcosmic responsibility for the universal problem by seeing how it originates within is part of the solution to the macrocosmic mass dilemma” (The Liquid Light of Sex).
To get more insight into what this Solar Eclipse means for YOU, find the house in your birth chart that contains 0 degrees of Cancer. The areas of life signified by that house are where you’re being called to:
- listen deeply and act on your instincts and intution;
- strengthen your foundation of support;
- release old emotional patterns or attachments;
- increase your sense of inner security;
- re-set your emotional compass;
- and plant a new vision for your future.

Late Friday night/Saturday morning (June 13, 2:24am Eastern) we enter the Last Quarter phase of the Gemini New Moon cycle that started on May 22nd.
The Last Quarter or Waning Half Moon often marks a significant turning point or crossroads, when we’re both finishing out the current cycle, and preparing for the new one.
This Quarter Moon is more potent and more emotionally charged than usual since it occurs between Eclipses – extra-powerful lunations.
Neptune has played a starring role in this lunar cycle. We’ve been challenged to discern reality from illusion, to disconnect from media and information that generates confusion and fear and plug into a greater source of wisdom and deeper truth.
The Last Quarter Moon – in Pisces and conjunct both Mars and Neptune – brings these themes to a head. How we close out this cycle depends on our courage (Mars) to face and to FEEL (Moon in Pisces) whatever we’ve been hiding, repressing or escaping from (Neptune).
Neptune and Pisces rule both paradise and prison, and this Moon will show us where we’ve been imprisoned by our outgrown belief systems – wherever we’re making decisions based on “shoulds,” based on conditioned beliefs from family or society rather than from our own inner knowing. It’s time to draw on the power of this Piscean deluge to wash away the old stories and patterns.
OR – if we’ve used this lunar cycle to listen deeply to the voice of Spirit, the voice of our intuition, then we can ride this Piscean tidal wave to a new level of MAGIC, connection with Source, and TRUST in life’s greater unfolding. We can seed the collective unconscious with a new dream of peace, unity and love.
Whatever supports your system to soften and surrender will be helpful over the next few days – being in or near water, getting extra sleep and downtime, communing with nature, music, art, poetry… While sensitivities are running high, it’s especially important to unplug from fear-generating media, and tune into the channels of information that inspire trust and healing.
The first of three high-pressure, emotionally-charged Eclipses peaks on June 5th – a Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius.
Eclipses bring to the surface feelings that have been submerged in the subconscious, and information that has been hidden in the dark. Sagittarius is the fiery sign of TRUTH, and this Eclipse is especially potent for breaking free from illusion and bringing truth to light.
An extra-powerful Full Moon, this Eclipse catalyzes the death of old, fear-based beliefs and stories that maintain the top-down/power-over control system. Our assignment is divest our life force from the systems that are falling apart and start investing in the new reality we want to create.
Mars and Neptune in Pisces square the Eclipse, activating the Spiritual Warrior. Instead of engaging in fighting or further polarization, we can rise to a whole different level. When we turn our awareness toward the larger field of consciousness, we tap into the power of Source. By changing our thoughts and our frequency, we change the reality that’s manifesting.
To get more insight into what this Full Moon Eclipse means for YOU, find the house in your birth chart that contains 15 degrees of Sagittarius. The areas of life signified by that house are where significant events are coming to culmination or completion, and where you’re called to:
- break through the illusion of fear-based stories and beliefs;
- reconnect with inspiration and enthusiasm and open to a more positive future;
- strengthen faith in your own spiritual authority and inner guidance;
- acknowledge the truth of your feelings and clear the emotional backlog in order to experience greater freedom.
Tonight’s First Quarter Moon in Virgo (May 29, 11:30pm eastern) marks the halfway point between the Gemini New Moon (May 22) and the Sagittarius Lunar Eclipse (June 5). A significant turning point in the cycle, the First Quarter or Waxing Half Moon is when the balance shifts from dark to light.
The seeds of intention planted in the fertile darkness of the New Moon are now ready to manifest, and as the energy builds toward the Full Moon, we’re challenged to overcome obstacles to bringing our vision into the light.
The Virgo Moon forms a square to both the Sun and Venus in Gemini, while also opposing Mars in Pisces – forming a pressurized configuration called a t-square (two squares and an opposition). In the mutable signs, this t-square stirs up fast change, feelings of restlessness, and a need to be flexible and adaptable.
In a Gemini lunar cycle strongly characterized by Neptunian energy, it can be easy to be pulled in multiple directions and get distracted and scattered, losing focus. Confusion, illusion and denial are also more shadowy Neptunian potentials. The higher potential is to increase connection and communication with Source, with our deepest soul selves, and use spiritual inspiration as fuel for creating a more loving and beautiful world.
The Moon in earthy, discerning Virgo directs our attention to the here-and-now, our body and environment, helping us get grounded and focus in on what’s most important. Virgo is the Priestess who purifies the temple of her body and home in order to become a stronger and clearer channel for spirit (Pisces). Making small improvements at this Quarter Moon can make a big difference – just take care of what’s right in front of you, and then the next thing.
Mercury – ruler of both Gemini and Virgo – has just moved into watery Cancer, the inwardly-focused sign of deep feelings, nurturing, home and family. We can rely on our feelings and instincts to guide us forward, and trust that, as we change our inner environment, we change the world.
With the South Node in Sagittarius, we don’t need to understand the big picture of everything that’s happening “out there” before taking action, and being overly focused on world events can distract us from the power we have in our immediate environment. Use this First Quarter as a time of preparation, purification, refinement and discernment, and remember that all the “little things” we do as individuals add up to major shifts in the collective.

Today’s Gemini New Moon (May 22, 1:39pm Eastern) sparks fast changes in your environment, relationships and most importantly, your mind. This New Moon is a cosmic wake-up call, a lightning bolt that pierces through the veil of illusion to connect you with your soul’s deepest truth.
Alcyone, the brightest star of the Pleiades and the “Central Sun” around which our solar system rotates, is activated by the New Moon. The doors to higher information are wide open, especially when you unplug from technology and media, spend time in nature, and quiet your mind and nervous system.
This is a lunar cycle for gathering information, making connections and reconnections, building alliances, and sharing your understanding of the present and dreams for the future. The Sun and Moon trine Saturn in Aquarius, helping you see the bigger picture and harness your thoughts toward building a positive future.
This New Moon is the gateway into Eclipse season – a high-pressure period of accelerated growth and change, in effect until July 20th. You can work with the Gemini New Moon to reset your mind and get into the right headspace to successfully surf the tides of the three upcoming Eclipses.
To get more insight into what this New Moon means for YOU, find the house in your birth chart that contains 2 degrees of Gemini. The areas of life signified by that house are where you’re being called to:
- deepen your sense of belonging and connection (first within yourself);
- listen to the voice of your soul;
- open your mind to new ideas, perspectives and possibilities;
- improve communication skills (especially when it comes to listening);
- learn something new, or revisit a subject you used to love.

Get all the details about this new lunar cycle, in effect for the next month, in my 80-minute New Moon recording, offered “in the gift.”
We’re in a week of major cosmic shifts – Saturn turned retrograde on Sunday night (May 11, 12:09am eastern), followed by Venus tonight (May 13, 2:45am) and Jupiter on Thursday (May 14, 10:32am).
As I talked about in my Scorpio Full Moon call, this emphasis on retro planets (for the next several months) indicates potential reversals in circumstances and in our feelings. Retro planets slow momentum and turn our attention inward and toward the past to reflect, review and recalibrate.
In addition to three planets turning retrograde, two planets change signs this week. Mercury, planet of the mind, communication and information, moved into its home sign of Gemini on Monday, May 11, until May 28th.
Mercury is moving quickly and super-strong for the next few weeks, supporting stimulating connections, conversations and the flow of ideas. With Venus retro in Mercury-ruled Gemini, there may be a lot of RE-connections that happen, as well as reviewing past events to gather new data and get a new understanding.
The other notable shift is action planet Mars, which moves from Aquarius to Pisces tonight (May 13, 12:17am). We can best work with Mars in watery Pisces (until June 27th) by going with the flow and relying on our intuition, rather than being willful and trying to push our way forward.
If all that weren’t enough for one week – on Thursday we enter the Last Quarter phase of the lunar cycle, when the Aquarius Moon squares the Taurus Sun (10:03am Eastern at 24 degrees).
The Last Quarter or Waning Half Moon, when the predominance of light gives way to darkness, often marks a turning point. We’re called to complete what we started at the New Moon – or let go of what we’re not going to complete – in order to focus on our priorities.
The Aquarius Moon inspires “outside the box” thinking and connects us with our dreams for the future, while the Taurus Sun encourages practical steps in the here-and-now to manifest our ideals.
Both Taurus and Aquarius are fixed signs, and there’s the potential for stubbornness, stuckness, resistance and over-attachment. But the Sun’s harmonious trine to Pluto and Jupiter lends support for making changes to improve our world and tangible progress toward long-term goals.
With the North Node now in Gemini, flexibility, adaptability and considering multiple options and perspectives are key.

Gemini Full Moon: December 12, 2019, 12:12am Eastern
The Gemini Full Moon reveals adjustments you can make – in your thought patterns, everyday environment and communications – to support you in manifesting your big dreams.
There is a lot of momentum right now, plenty of cosmic support for taking the initiative and making tangible progress toward long-term goals. This Full Moon illuminates the workings of your mind, and helps you shapeshift your perceptions and stories so you can more effectively utilize the available momentum and step through the doors that have opened.
The Full Moon squares dreamy Neptune, bringing the potential for getting thrown off-course by distraction, confusion, overwhelm and insecurity. Instead, take a break from holiday busyness and media-inundation to slow down and connect more deeply with Source – through meditation, dance, music, art or whatever helps you drop into a state of timelessness.
Venus is sandwiched between Saturn and Pluto at the Full Moon, and relationships, finances and creative projects are highlighted as make-it-or-break-it arenas for transformation. These are also arenas that could benefit from getting a new perspective or telling a different story.
This Full Moon marks our entry into Eclipse Season – a 6-week, high-pressure period of accelerated growth and change. The upcoming Eclipse Season is especially intense as it features and catalyzes the game-changing Saturn-Pluto conjunction.
You can work with the mutable, shapeshifting energies of this Full Moon to help prepare for the mega-changes ahead.
